Welcome to our September newsletter. Our staff team is ready to welcome all of our children back from holidays with plenty of new ideas and enthusiasm.
The topic of this month is “Plants and Flowers”. Our aim is to get children closer to nature and give them the opportunity to explore the seven areas of learning (EYFS) mainly through natural objects.
In this regard, starting from this month we will be introducing an extra weekly activity in addition to the existing ones (sports for kids, theatre bug, cooking activity, Spanish lesson).
This new activity is “Gardening”! Every week our children will take care of our garden in many different ways which include: planting new plants or herbs, collecting branches and leaves, recognising a different kind of flowers, playing with soil and putting all of them together to develop their knowledge and imagination.
In accordance with the topic of the month, our children will visit the local garden centre to discover the different kinds of plants, flowers and equipment needed in the garden. They will also practise their gardening activity at local parks.
This month at Monkey Puzzle we want to celebrate the grandparents and say a big thank you to them for all the support that they give to our children.
We would like to welcome all grandparents who would want to come to do any activity with the children (reading a story, singing a song, etc.) at the nursery.
We are pleased to invite all the grandparents on Monday 23rd at 3:30 p.m. for our special event “Tea with the grandparents”!
Before the event, we kindly ask parents to bring a picture of their child’s grandparents or send us a picture by email.
